Odontoiatria Conservativa

Lo scopo fondamentale dell’odontoiatria conservativa è preservare la salute dei denti, sani, belli e funzionali.
La “Conservativa” è la branca fondamentale dell’odontoiatria ed è dedicata alla diagnosi, prevenzione e cura delle carie.

Endodonzia

Sotto lo smalto dentale si trova la polpa, tessuto molle composito di nervi e vasi sanguini.
In caso della carie o la rottura di dente, i batteri possono entrare nel canale radicale e provocare l’infezione.

Igiene e Profilassi

Le problematiche relative a un buon mantenimento dei denti e dell’igiene orale sono molto antiche, se è vero che già nell’anno 1000, Abulqasis, un chirurgo arabo di Córdoba ha dedicato molte pagine della sua enciclopedia medica all’arte odontoiatrica.

Chirurgia Implantologia

Gli impianti possono essere utilizzati per sostituire un singolo elemento, un ponte fisso o a supporto di protesi mobili al fine di stabilizzarle.

Chirurgia Parodontologia

La parodontologia è una branca della stomatologia che si occupa della cura dell’apparato di sostegno dei denti, ovvero del parodonto. Il parodonto è costituito da gengiva, osso alveolare e legamento parodontale che mantiene attaccato il dente al tessuto osseo.

Protesi

La protesi è la branca dell’odontoiatria specializzata nella sostituzione dei denti mancanti.

Gli interventi più diffusi di chirurgia orale sono rappresentati dall’estrazione di “denti inclusi”

Ortodonzia

L’ortodonzia si occupa di riallineare i denti, sia dal punto di vista estetico che funzionale, mediante ausilio di apparecchiature fisse o mobili.
Oltre all’aspetto estetico, l’ortodonzia può prevenire problemi parodontali ed essere utilizzata come terapia pre-protesica.

Odontoiatria Estetica

L’estetica dentale è una branca interdisciplinare della stomatologia che ha come unica finalità il miglioramento estetico dell’apparato stomatognatico.
